Membership Categories

Regular Membership

Westwood is currently offering a limited number of Regular Memberships. Membership privileges are extended to the primary Member, his or her spouse and unmarried dependent children who have not reached the age of 21.

Regular Members will enjoy the use of all golf and clubhouse facilities as well as participate in Club related events including MGA, WGA, and Couples tournaments.

All Regular Members will be invited to participate in various clinics and summer Junior Camps.

Westwood Members enjoy the use of the dining facilities at The Houston Racquet Club and will be invited to several HRC functions including wine tasting events held during the year.

Members at Westwood may use the HRC for private functions such as luncheons, receptions and holiday parties.

Regular Memberships are transferable in accordance with the Club's By-Laws and are fully refundable after 30 years.

Regular Members may hold Committee, Board positions and have voting rights.

Non-Resident Membership

Westwood Golf Club is currently offering a limited number of Non-Resident Memberships on the following terms.

Monthly dues based 50% of the Regular Member Dues

Prospective member must file a Federal Tax Return from a state other than Texas

Non-Resident Memberships are non-transferable except as noted below in the event the member wishes to convert to Regular Membership.

Non-Resident Memberships are non-voting.

Senior Membership

Westwood Golf Club will offer to existing Westwood Members the option of converting from Regular Membership to Senior Membership.

To qualify for Senior Membership, the applicant (primary member) must be at least 72 years of age prior to the application date. Senior Membership allows the Member to use all golf and clubhouse facilities provided at Westwood Golf Club and to attend club-sponsored events held at the Club.

Conversion to Senior status is at the sole discretion of the Member.

Senior Members will pay monthly dues as set by the Board of Governors.

Senior Memberships forfeit membership transferability and voting rights.

Senior Memberships are not responsible for operational or capital assessments.

Senior Members, meeting the above criteria, will enjoy full golfing privileges, including unrestricted use of tee-times.

Junior Membership

Westwood Golf Club is currently offering a limited number of Junior Memberships to persons who are 35 years of age or younger. A Junior Member has the use of all golf and clubhouse facilities provided at Westwood Golf Club and to attend Club sponsored events. Junior Members have full membership rights and privileges and upon complete payment of the initiation deposit, have the right to transfer the membership within the guidelines set forth in the Club's By-Laws.

Junior Members are not subject to assessments (with the exception of the pre-approved clubhouse assessment) and do not have voting rights until the initiation deposit is paid in full.

Initiation Deposit may be locked in at any time prior to age 33, but the Junior Member must begin to make equal annual installments to pay the full Initiation Deposit by age 37.

If a Junior Member chooses to terminate the membership at any time, the deferred balance will be voided.

Corporate Membership

Westwood Golf Club is currently offering a limited number of Corporate Memberships to qualified companies. The Corporate Membership will be held in the name of the company, corporation, partnership or other form of multiple ownership (collectively called the Company). The Company, as the actual Member and owner of the membership, shall designate either 3, 4 or 5 people as the designees of the membership use privileges. The designee of the membership must be an officer, director, partner, owner, or employee of the Company and must submit an Application and be approved by the Club. The Company shall be responsible for payment of the required, non-refundable Corporate Membership Initiation Deposit held by an individual.

The designee of the membership shall be responsible for all dues, fees, and other charges incurred by the designee, family members, and guests. In the event the designee fails to pay any debt, the company shall be ultimately responsible.

The Corporate Membership allows the designee to use all of the Club's facilities. Designees shall not be charged green fees for use of the golf facilities, but shall pay all applicable guest fees, cart fees, and/or caddie fees established by the club.

Designees of Corporate Memberships shall pay the same dues, fees, and other charges as any Regular Member of the Club. These Corporate Memberships, however, will not be required to pay assessments nor shall they have the right to vote.

The Company may change the designee of its membership at any time upon approval of the new designee by the Club and the payment of the applicable non-refundable change of designee fee.

Recallable Membership

Westwood is currently offering a limited number of Recallable Memberships .

This program allows an alternative to full membership which provides the Recallable Member access to Westwood Golf Club until membership is full. At the time the membership reaches capacity the first Recallable Membership in the queue is required either to convert to a full membership by paying the Conversion Price or withdraw, in which case they would lose all their payments.  

Dues: Pay regular dues and assessable for operating deficits.

Non-voting and non-transferable. 

Conversion to Full Membership required when application for 351st full membership is received by Club (inclusive of all permanent memberships unless such standard is modified by the Board of Governors).  At that time the Recallable Member either converts or withdraws.  

A Recallable Member would have the option, at any time prior to his second anniversary to elect to purchase a Regular Membership at the then applicable market price (plus any assessment which had occurred, if applicable) and would receive a credit of 50% of the Base Fee, which would be applied to the FINAL installment payment if the installment payment option is available at that time and chosen by the Recallable Member.

Invitational Preview Program

 

Westwood Golf Club is currently offering a limited number of Invitational Preview Memberships. This program allows a unique opportunity to experience membership at Westwood without the full financial commitment of the initiation deposit.  

A candidate is presented to the membership commitee by reccomendation of a Westwood member. Upon favorable review, the candidate is extended an invitation to participate in the Invitational Preview program.

The candidate will receive full membership privleges for a period of six months, including the ability to bring guests to the club in accordance with the club's guest policies.

The candidate will have charging prileges during the Preview period, with ACH devit authorization on file.

The candidate will be responsible for regular monthly dues and incidental charges during the Preview Period.

At the end of the Preview Period, the candidate may chose to apply for Regular Membership at the then current initiation deposit rate.

 If the candidate chooses not to apply for membership at the end of the Preview Period or chooses to discontinue their participation in the program before the end of the Preview Period, they will have no further obligation to the club.
